Hotel reservation - Mena House Oberoi Hotel, Giza, Egypt

 Kanako & Takeshi's writing project for June was to email a hotel to confirm a reservation. 

Dear Madam,

I'd like to make a reservation for  a family room for a week, between the 22nd and the 27th of August. I'd like a room with a view of pyramid, and confirm what menus there are with price for dinner.

The Lost World - the Mystery of Egypt

Egypt is one of the most interesting country which I’ve never been to. There is a TV program my mother loves to watch, it is called “Discovery of the World’s Mysteries (Sekai Fushigi Hakken)”

I also have been watching the show since I was a child. One of the popular topics of the show is the Mystery of Egypt. When I saw the culture of the ancient Egypt, it was very interesting for me that the world is expressing by some pictures, they could make the historic building from the high-level scientific approach and many historians still make researches to try to find out the truth about the past.

If I could go to adventure, I would like to go to Egypt with one of Japanese historian who make researches there because he could guide me where tourist could not go like the inside of pyramid. Then I would like to unravel a riddle of one of the ancient Egypt together with the historian and his team.

Japan beat Egypt in a quarter-final match in the Olympic football tournament. In the first half, Nagai, a fleet forward player for Japan, scored a goal with the best use of his quickness.

An Egyptian player committed a foul with dangerous play, and the referee gave him a red card and made him leave the pitch in the first half.

Later in the game, Japan scored another two goals and won three - nil.

They got a place in the semi-final stage for the first time in 44 years! Then, they are going to play Mexico to advance to the Olympic final.

Postcard from the Red Sea

How are you guys?

I'm in a passenger ship which is cruising on the Red Sea. the sea is beautiful deep blue! Everything of this voyage is like a dream! So romantic!

I can enjoy lots of culture class and fitness programs in the ship. The ship is going to call at Port Safaga in Egypt tomorrow morning. I'm going to visit Luxor. After that the ship is going to Greece.
