Postcard from Berlin, Germany

 Dear Jim sensei,

It is sunny with clear blue sky in Berlin. This must be the best season to visit here. Not too cold, not too hot...just comfortable!

We came here for usiness, but we had chances to visit many famous places like Brandenburg Gate and East side gallery.

We walked around everyday, as our phone told us it's over 18,000 steps per day! We believe we became healthier during our stay in Berlin.

Dear Jim,

It was hard to climb up Cologne Cathedral. It was 500 steps.

I saw big bells ringing. I was close to them and scared.

And I bought this postcard.

Hi Jim,

Now we are in Germany.

We visited Cologne and of course climb up the beautiful cathedral. Honestly, I did this last year and thought once was enough...anyway, it was amazing.

I was happy to get real 'eau de Cologne' - did you know eau de Cologne is originated from this city!

We stayed with our German friend in Bonn. Their 100 year old house was cosy and nice. We are all happy with lovely cheese and ham here. I may be bigger when I see you next time :)

Guten Tag, Jim & NHK members.

Today I visited Schloss Neuchwanstein. Luckily it was not so cold. The castle was shining in the blue sky. In the evening as I was drinking gluhweint and having a wurst, I enjoyed Christmas market, in Schwarzwald.

The Christmas illuminations are so romantic and fantastic!!

Now. I'm in Hamburg.
Today I visited Hameln and Bremen. These cities are famous for the Grimm Brothers fairy tales.
And both of them very lovely!!

Unfortunately the weather is not good and a little bit cold.

Tomorrow I go sightseeing in Hamburg and Lubeck.

Today I went to see a castle Neuschwanstein.

It's really beautiful.

People call it 「Swan Castle」

The white castle in the forest likes a swan.

Probably you will think so.

Afternoon I went to shopping.

Then I was happy.

Rothernburg ob der Tauber, Germany - a postcard

Hi Jim, Tana & NHK guys!!

I'm in a lovely small town, Rothenburg in Germany. I'm staying in a romantic hotel, which you can see on this card, the yellow house, the windows are decorated by flower, right side of the antique gate. It is lovely stay!

Now, town is full of tourist, becasue it is season of a traditional festival "Meister-trunk" The townspeople act former people with interesting costume and parade in the town. I'm enjoying these characteristc towns. lot's of green in this country makes me relaxed.
