Where I live - Matsubara, Matsumoto

I live in Matsubara, which is an area in the south east of Matsumoto. Matsumoto is the biggest city in Nagano Prefecture.

It's a residential area, and it's quiet. There are lots of beautiful garden, and now the roses and the azaleas are in bloom.

There are a few shop in Matsubara. There is the shopping mall, but I don't see a visitor at all times. Every summer, there is a small festibal called Iizura Matsuri, and people dance to music called Iizura Ondo.

I think the best things about Matsubara are the beautiful town and the quiet neighbourhood. I often walk with my pet dog, and I feel relaxed, and that's the reason why I like living here so much.

The most beautiful building in Nogi is ...

The most beautiful building in my hometown is "Shimoren". It was a factory of brick.
It is in Nogi-town, in edge of Tochigi Pref.

It was designed by the "Shimotsuke Brickyard"
company and built in 1889; it made bricks for 82years.

There are 16 kilns in a circle (actually, in a 16 polygon), 100m around. It has 31m
chimney. Unfortunately, now there is no owner of this factory, its outside is bad.

Inside of this factory, it is dangerous! Roof of it is going to fall down; because there is no owner, administration can't aid fixing this building.

You can't see the view from this building, it's dangerous. If you can see the view from this building's chimney, you'll see only grassland, I think.

You can't go in the building, I think.

You can get more information about this building here.

My home town - Shiojiri

I live in Shiojiri city, which is in the center of Nagano prefecture. It has a population of 70,000 people and it's the 8th biggest city in Nagano prefecture. (I found this information at http://uub.jp/cpf/nagano.html )
There's a beautiful view of mountain chain called Japanese Alps. The height of those is about 3,000 metres. If you want to know more information about Japanese Alps, please visit web site, http://www.pref.nagano.jp/xkyouiku/sance/inpak/ya1/ya1_index.html .
The winter is very cold. It's usually under subzero in the morning. It needs careful driving, because the road freezes!
Wine is famous, but I can't drink alcohol, so I don't know good point of Shiojiri's wine.
The best thing about Shiojiri is atmosphere. I like living here, because I feel the time goes slow (except work...).
