Star Wars - The Last Jedi...film review

I saw a very popular film recently called “Star Wars“

It’s a series of science fiction film about galactic wars. Daisy Ridley is the heroine of the film.
She plays Ray, who is looking for her parents and realizes she has force.

One day she find BB-8, which is a important robot of resistance when she collect scrap iron and she is getting involved with the fight.

The most exciting scene is Ray becomes conscious of her force and beats her enemy.
It’s a war movie but the film is very amusing , the action is exciting and CG is much more better than before.

I can't wait to see the sequel.

One of my favorite films - Star Wars Episode VI film review

 I saw a nice film recently called"Star Wars Episode VI"
It's an action science fiction film and star-studded film.
The film is directed by Steven Spielberg.

 There're many alien on some planets.
Some of them look funny.The others are ugly!
I like Chewbacca(he is 200years old!!) and Yoda.

 Basically some grops of alien are fighting.
But some scenes are thrilling and emotional.
The best point is ... finally, hero and his father understand each other.

BGM alco famous and nice.

I want to see the sequels.
But...honesty I like old ones.
Anyway it's a good film!
I'll really recomend this film for everyone.

After reading – Return to Earth

Drewitt’s Project X
Sometimes people do not know what is best for them.  The government should just do things like Project X without telling anybody.  Do you agree, or disagree?

I agree that the government is responsible to tell people about the project like Project X.  I think people should have the right to check and review whether the project is really needed or not for them as it must cost a lot of money for the researches and studies.  The government will come up with the finances from their taxes.

However, I think that the report timing about the project from the government to people is important.  It should not be too early but too late.  The project should be checked and reviewed very well by the experts and the relevant people before the report in order to gain the sufficient evidence about the efficiency and safety of the project.  It is generally difficult for people to judge whether the project is really needed or not without the supporting evidence.

I am not sure if the Japanese or any other countries’ governments may consider or have already proceeded with some projects without telling people or not, but I hope the projects should be helpful and safe for people and the future all over the world.

Story maze - Yuto's space trip

I lose control of my space ship. I was flying in space to find a planet. It goes faster and faster because the aliens were pushing. I come to a strange planet, land safely and find my crew is safe. I decide to explore alone. I found a tunnel and a ladder. There are so many rocks in the tunnel. I decide to go up the ladder. I find a long corridor with four doors at the end. I go through the gold door and break the door and put the gold in my pocket.

Story steps dictated by the throw of a dice!

The corridor leads to a maze of one hundred corridors. There is a transporter machine at the entrance. I enter the machine then I came to a strange orange planet; I landed safely and my crew is safe too. I decide to explore around and find another tunnel. This time I go down the ladder and find a huge computer. A door opens when I push the button.

I found yet another long corridor, and at the end I go through the silver door this time. I am trapped.

Armageddon - film review

My dad suggested that I watch Armageddon when I was about ten. Before that I wasn't a great fan of science fiction and special effects in adventure films. I was impressed by the stars' brave hearts.

An enormous asteroid, about as big as Texas , is coming towards Earth at 35000km/h. If it impacts, no living species, even bacteria, will survive. 14 guys were chosen to save the Earth by using a nuclear bomb.

The music is fantastic, the stars are cool and there's a beautiful actress in it (Liv Tyler). The special effects are spectacular . Also Bruce Willis's acting is superb.

This film teaches us bravey and love. It's one of Michael Bay's most popular films. You should see this!

The songs of Distant Earth

This story is a science fiction, but I think it seems like a love story. Because almost of the story was described about Lora and Leon’s love story. Leon had come from Earth. He met Lora on the beautiful beach in Thalassa where was peaceful and young planet and they got to know each other and fell in love, but at the end...... I I felt sorry for Lora and Clyde who was ex-boyfriend of Lora.

I prefer No2, because everybody would be happy at the end.

2. Leon decided to stay on Thalassa, because he loved Lora intensely. Finally, he married Lora. He made up his mind to make a living as a fisherman. At first, it was so difficult for him to get a lot of fish, but he was an engineer, so he invented his fishing tool to get a lot of fish. He and Lora lived simple, peaceful life in Thalassa.
Clyde was very disappointed in their marriage and unhappy, but he changed his mind. He quickly made a recovery and he married someone else soon. So this story ended when everybody was happy……oh, this story is too normal and must be boring for readers.

By the way, the name of translator from English to Japanese is Asakura-san. It is said that his name was from Arthur Clarke...Arsaur klarku...Asa-kura-ku...Asakura... It's funny for me.

The Songs of Distant Earth and Other Stories - ARTHUR C. CLARKE

This is the second time for me to read a book written by Arthur C. Clarke. The first one was Rendezvous with Rama which I read last year. I haven't known that he had written some short stories like this book. Almost stories are very short and simple but there are deep afterglow of mysterious feelings in all. The feeling was the same as Rendezvous with Rama.

The first story is about making a list of real names of God by using computer at a monastery in Tibet. Before reading, I expected that this story was about aliens because characters in illustrations had no hairs and wore strange cloth but they were lamas in Tibet. This story was not about space, planet, aliens, and so on, but I enjoyed as a science fiction as well. I felt the same theme as the other stories about finding truth of our world.

It was better than Tottoro because it was extremely exciting.

What was the soundtrack like?

The soundtrack was very loud.When it was a sad scene it was quiet.I want to buy the CD

Is there a happy ending?

Yes there is.Where the Na'vi's fought humans.first they were losing but in the end they won the fight and saved the planet.

Which character did you like best?

I liked the main character Jake Sully because he was very cool.

What was it like watching a 3D movie?
It is better and more exciting than normal movies because things come out of the screen.

Rendezvous with Rama

This novel was written by Arthur C. Clarke who is very famous science fiction writer around the world. When I was junior high-school student, more than 30 years ago, I read his novels and watched his film, e.g. 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This is the first time for me to read Rendezvous with Rama. Rama is a kind of space colony and I’m sure that Space colony like Rama will be put to practical use within this century, but it’s striking that he wrote this novel in 1972, around 40 years ago.

Points for Understanding


15-1: The Raman biots always ignore the human visitors. Norton has an idea about why this happens. What is his idea?

Earthmans breathe oxygen, and the Ramans breathe oxygen too. The biots probably can’t see any difference between one kind of oxygen-breather and another.

15-2: ‘Is this place some kind of Raman church or temple?’ Mercer asks. Why do you think he asks this question?

I think it was Mercer’s desire, that is to say, Ramans took care of church or temple as same as Earthmans. It was good for him to know that.

The Space Invaders

This story is very legible. I enjoyed with thinking that world might exist in the corner of space. Most answers of Activities caused me to change sentences of the text from the direct speech into the indirect speech. In addition, they caused me to match the tense. This activities are optimal in the training for such purpose.
I recommend this book for a change.
