English language school in the heart of the Japanese Alps, and English language learners sharing their experiences online. Teachers post regular items about teaching, learning tools, events in the school, their day to day experiences living & working in a foreign country. Students post on whatever takes their fancy - book reports, festivals in home towns, postcards from business trips etc. A little Brit of England in the guts of Japan!

Running Dictation
This team only just beat their opponents, with one point to spare. The object of the game was to remember as many words as possible and make a list, with extra points being awarded for spelling. Picture cards were placed behind a screen and the 'runner' and 'writer' together had to compile a list of the given items. Neck and neck the whole way, this game relied on both speed and accuracy. Well done to both teams! Jolly well played.

Hey Tana,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a lot of fun! I used to do this really big classes in Thailand, when we used song lyrics. It was very funny because all the students tried to cheat & started shouting...but because each group had a different song, it just got noisier! Very easy for the teacher to listen & help with pronunciation issues!
Good job - keep up finding new things to try in class, as I`m sure your students are loving it.
