Voodoo Island

After reading: 1) Kee is a poor man who comes from Haiti. He is a houngan, and he knows all about spirits. He doesn't understand business, and he understands about people. Kee is a kind man, and he always listens to other people.

Conway is a rich man who comes from America. He is a businessman, and he know all about money. He doesn't understand voodoo, and he doesn't understand about people. Conway is not a kind man, and he never listens to other people.

Comments: At first, I thought that Conway would be cheated by Kee with voodoo in the story. In fact Conway was a good houngan. I don't know whether voodoo exists even now in Haiti or not. If it exists, I would like to experience boodoo.

Q.Which part or parts of the story did you enjoy most?Why?
Do you think Roald Dahl is a good writer? Why?

My favorite part of the story is Chapter 2 (Mr Wormwood), because this chapter describes action of Matilda's bad father . I was surprised by his action which trick someone for selling valueless car. Furthermore he said his action to his children proudly. I think that he is crazy and the story would be more interesting as the story continue. However the end of story was just ordinary.
Therefore, I think Roald Dahl is not a good writer. If I was a writer,
it will be more interesting. However, I don't have any idea at now.

Q26: There were a lot of women in Grey Owl's life. What do you think they felt about him? Why?

I think that Grey Owl was awful person for women, because he abandoned his wives and children several times.
He was generous for animals, but he was selfish for women.
I think that his first 4 wives (Angele, Marie, Ivy, Anahareo) and her children felt same as me. But his last wife Yvonne might fell that he was generous for women, because they hadn't divorced.
I think that Yvonne didn't know his love affair well.
If Grey Owl was born in modern age, he shouldn't supported by women.

7) On page 15 there is a newspaper report about the murder of Mr Robert Stevens. On page 47 there is a report about John's arrest. Write the report that is in the newspaper after Tommy logan's arrest.

Tommy Logan Arrested For Murder Of teacher, Robert Stevens.

Tommy broke the chair, and hit Mr Stevens with chair leg, after that Mr Stevens was dead. But Tommy didn't mean to kill Mr Stevens. It was an justifiable defense, because Tommy was attacked by Mr Stevens before Tommy killed Mr Stevens. Tommy is verry sorry boy. But he will get out of the prison within 5 years. After that, Tommy will have a good life.

Chapter 15 Happy End

Since then, 1 year had passed. Munro was smiling to Sirpa Lappalainen, and Sirpa wore a wedding dress because today was their wedding ceremony.

Munro gave over the work of spy since the incident had finished. And now, they lived together in Finland and worked on a farm happily.

After the ceremony, they would go Japan on their honeymoon trip. And they would go to famous hot spring, for example Beppu, Kusatsu, Shirahone and so on. Of course , they would not take a sauna. Have a good honeymoon trip Munro and Sirpa and have a happy new life.

I don't think it's a good title, because the title likes as Love story's title. I make up a different title "Horror Sea".
