Grey Owl
29. Describe an animal or a beautiful area that is in danger in your country.
The ptarmigan is in danger in our country. It is specified for the threatened species in Japan. It lives in a cold place in the world. It lives in Japanese high mountains, like Mt. Norikura.
What is the problem?
Recently Japanese mountain’s climate is getting warm, because of global warming. So the number of dwarf Siberian pine decrease. The number of ptarmigan decrease, because it doesn’t get baits.
Is there a way of saving it?
Yes, there is. The way of saving the ptarmigan is that the consumption of the electric power has to be decreased.
