The word: paraskevidekatriaphobia
English language school in the heart of the Japanese Alps, and English language learners sharing their experiences online. Teachers post regular items about teaching, learning tools, events in the school, their day to day experiences living & working in a foreign country. Students post on whatever takes their fancy - book reports, festivals in home towns, postcards from business trips etc. A little Brit of England in the guts of Japan!

Dear Jim,
ReplyDeleteToday is Friday the 13th.
I have defined Paraskevidekatriaphobia as a strong unreasonable fear of Friday the 13th.
Incidentally I’m afraid of heights and my wife is ursaphobic.
Have a nice Friday the 13th,
Koa
So, Koa is the winner! Well done!
ReplyDeleteToday turned out to be a sad day for our staff at Luna, but a friend of mine turned 40 today in Whangarei, NZ.
I a, going to google ursaphobia (bears?)
