In memoriam - Mina

Tragic news reached us this week, actually as class was about to start for Tana (which seriously challenged her ability to think quickly and manage the following exchanges appropriately), that one of our adult students passed away last Sunday.

This is startling news, as there has never been any hint that Mina was ill at all. She has been in her class with her long-time friends for absolutely donkeys - so long I am struggling to remember who I took the class over from (back then a kominkan set up). Which means she has been studying, twice a month with us, for a decade?

We are a bit culturally stuck, as we shouldn't 'do' anything here. However, from a foreign perspective & as teachers promoting an English language environment with classes, we want to express our deepest sympathy to Mina's family. We know her friends were stunned by the news, and that her class is not going to be the same any more. You will be missed.

Rest in peace.
